The Cheese Stands Alone
The Daily Mississippian, the student-edited daily put out by the University of Mississippi, is the only college newspaper to endorse John McCain for President. The total tally, 63 for Obama, 1 for McCain. Maybe the editor is trying to get a staffer position for the Arizona senator.

This is embarrassing. After hosting a presidential debate and beating Florida in the same weekend, this seems like a step backward.
I guess it wouldn't bother me if other schools were endorsing McCain, too. It doesn't surprise me in the least that Ole Miss would support McCain. I was there four years ago in the Grove and saw the sea of W. stickers. But to be the only one out of sixty-three student newspapers pulling for McCain makes the school seem so out of touch.
